Scenography – Page to Stage

This three-part masterclass offers an introduction to scenography for theatre production. The course explores the methods and processes used to create the visual identity of a live performance, from its conception to its opening.

Each session builds on the last, following the steps taken to develop the visual world of a production and how it comes to life on stage through the core design elements of set, lighting, projection and costume design.

Attendees will gain exposure to the skills and tools of theatre design practice, and learn how to create cohesive visual design languages for live performance.

Who Should Attend

Participants looking to immerse themselves in the visual language of performance-making are invited to explore scenography as a way of communicating visually with audiences of live performance. Attendees should expect to stretch their ability to transform ideas into tangible, physical realisations.
