Kafka’s Ape is a globally acclaimed and multi-award-winning adaptation of Franz Kafka’s, A Report to an Academy. This one-hander, by Noma Yini storyers, explores a primate’s struggle to overcome the confines of captivity.
Kafka’s Ape presents humanity devastatingly held to an ape’s mirror as Red Peter, the ape, embarks on a harrowing and emotional journey that takes a metaphorical view on society. He confronts the Academy and delivers a report that highlights the complexities of identity, and the dangers of othering.
