The Masambe Theatre is The Baxter's most intimate performance space, purpose-built to nurture emerging voices and give new theatre-makers a platform to showcase their work to a dedicated audience.
Accessed via the Baxter Theatre Centre parking area, the venue welcomes audiences through a foyer that leads into a warm and focused auditorium with a seating capacity of 60. The stage measures 4,73m wide by 3,675m deep and, while finished in black, features a white wall concealed behind a curtain that allows for projections and visual storytelling.
The Masambe is a space of possibility — intimate, responsive, and perfectly suited to the bold, experimental work of artists finding and refining their voice.
